  • 2–3 Weeks Before: Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners. Wear SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.
  • If you are prone to melasma or hyperpigmentation, begin using a pigment-suppressing skincare product as recommended.
  • 4–6 Months Before: Discontinue isotretinoin (Accutane®). Inform your provider if you have taken it within the past year.
  • 7 Days Before: If medically appropriate, avoid aspirin and blood-thinning supplements such as fish oil, vitamin E, garlic, turmeric, and ginkgo unless prescribed by your physician.
  • 3–5 Days Before: Stop using retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliating acids, scrubs, or other irritating skincare products.
  • Avoid waxing, threading, or depilatory creams on the treatment area.
  • Stay well hydrated.
  • Day of Treatment: Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, sunscreen, lotions, and skincare products.
  • Remove jewellery from the treatment area.
  • Inform your provider if you have an active skin infection, cold sore, recent surgery, implanted medical device, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or medication changes.
