PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow these guidelines to ensure the safest treatment and best possible results:

Limit Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages for at least 24–48 hours before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
Avoid Blood-Thinning Medications & Supplements: If approved by your healthcare provider, avoid non-essential blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil®, Motrin®), Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ginkgo Biloba, flaxseed, and similar products for 5–7 days before treatment. Do not discontinue prescribed medications without consulting your physician.
Stay Hydrated: Maintain good hydration before your appointment to support optimal healing and tissue response.
Avoid Skin Treatments: Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling, dermaplaning, waxing, and other aggressive facial treatments for 2–4 weeks prior to treatment.
Stop Active Skincare Products: Discontinue retinoids, Retin-A®, tretinoin, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliants, and other active skincare products for 5–7 days prior to treatment.
Medical History: Please inform your provider of any significant medical history, allergies, medications, bleeding disorders, autoimmune conditions, or prior facial procedures.
Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: PDO thread lifts are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. • Pain Management: Consider taking Tylenol® (acetaminophen) 30–60 minutes before your appointment to help reduce any potential discomfort.

During the Treatment

Your PDO Thread Lift treatment at Skin Thesis will be performed by one of our experienced practitioners:

Procedure Duration: The treatment usually takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
Thread Insertion: After applying a local anesthetic, your practitioner will insert the PDO threads beneath the skin using a fine needle or cannula. These threads will gently lift the skin, providing immediate support and stimulating collagen production for long-term results.
Comfort and Sensation: The treatment is typically well-tolerated with lidocaine injections beforehand. You may feel some mild pressure or tugging as the threads are inserted.
Immediate Results: Once the threads are placed, you will notice an immediate lifting and tightening effect. Typically, it takes up to 2 weeks for threads to settle. Over the next several months, the threads will continue to stimulate collagen production, enhancing your results.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To promote healing and maintain the best possible results, follow these post-treatment care instructions:

Expected Downtime: Swelling, tenderness, bruising, tightness, and mild asymmetry are normal after treatment and may last several days up to 2 weeks.
Bruising: Bruising may take 1–2 weeks to completely resolve. We recommend using topical arnica and/or arnica pellets orally to help expedite healing by reducing swelling and bruising.
Do Not Touch or Manipulate Face: Avoid pressing, massaging, or manipulating the treated areas for at least 4 hours post treatment unless specifically instructed by your provider.
Sleeping Position: Sleep on your back with your head elevated for the first 48-72 hours to reduce swelling and help maintain optimal thread positioning.
Avoid Heat & Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and excessive sweating for at least 2 weeks after treatment.
No Makeup (Initial Period): Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment or until entry points are fully closed.
Expected Healing Process: You may feel tightness, pulling, or mild discomfort as threads settle. Temporary dimpling, firmness, or irregularities under the skin are normal and typically improve as the threads integrate.
Pain Relief: Tylenol® (acetaminophen) may be used if needed for discomfort. Avoid antiinflammatory medications unless directed by your provider.
Results Timeline: Initial lifting effects are visible immediately, but final results develop gradually over 4–8 weeks as collagen production increases.

Jordanna is the best I trust her completely with my face. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and always makes me feel confident in everything she does.

Today it was an hour of waiting, even aside from numbing time, they had zero communication with me as to how long it would take. I left without treatment.
I asked the owner to call, and she did not.
She had a “Manager” call.
